Peer pressure. Don't you hate it? It's like your peers want you to do something you know is wrong, but they do all they can to make you give in. I mean whether it's trying a drug or stealing, whatever, they feel you should do it.It's like one of the worst feelings you could have because you know it's wrong, but you don't want to disappoint your peers. I don't think it's worth the trouble if it's going to make you feel bad, change your self esteem, of mess with your conscience. What if one of your closest friends peer pressured you to do something, would you do it? Do you think it's worth it to still hang around them? All I can say is that I can't give into peer pressure because if I gave in it would disappoint myself more than the person pressuring me.

I think that peer preesure only affects you if you are nieve and dont trust yourself.
It all deals with your confidence.

Jaderade, to tell you the truth there alot of these people who always be following the leader alot around here, like they think are the best. Alot of these cats smoke, drink, gang bang, and clique up just because they have seen other people do it and they don't want to be considered lame. To tell the truth it's a shame because they are living in other people shadows and they don't have an image of their own. It reminds me if a saying... Who is much foolish the fool or the fool who follows the fool.
IDK PEER PRESSURE CAN BE GOOD OR BAD WHEN BAD PEER PEER PRESSURE OCCURS IT'S WHEN YOU PUSH SOMEONE TO DO BAD THINGS LIKE SMOKE DRINK OR DO SOMETHING ILLEGAL. NOW TO ME GOOD PEER PRESSURE WOULD BE PUSHING SOMEBODY TO MAKE GOOD GRADES ACHIEVE LONG TERM GOALS AND ECT. YEA IM TOO STRONG TO GIVE IN TO PEER PRESSURE CAUSE MAMA AINT RAISE NO FOOLS.
i do things i wanna do. peer pressure dont matter to me because i really dont care about most things i do.but if its wrong i just walk away. i dont care what my friends got to say realy
Wow, peer pressure. Umm, i don't cave into peer pressure but it does affect me. I think half the people in this school have no future nor do they have lives so i refuse to be anything like them. I try to stay away from the trends that they follow, if you've noticed, the people I hang with are definitely not run-of-the-mill. That's because they have minds of their own, which is rare among teens nowadays. People may call me weird and whatever but excuse me for being original and doing something with my life.
Peer pressure is annoying and I don't have the patience nor heart to deal with someone trying to tell me what to do...
i dnt allow peer pressure to get to me if i think its da best thing to do then i will. if they dnt its da best thing for me to do then i will do it and if the outsome isnt wat i expected then i will jus take this mistake and learn from it. and if they feel our friendship is worth loosing b/c they cant accept the decision i made then maybe we shouldnt be friends. i think everyone should make their own decisions and jus consider others advice to help you make dat decision
I'm not gonna claim I don't fall into peer pressur, because I do at times. Despite the negative connotation, my friends give me good peer pressure. They presure me to do better in school and find my path in life-- Mo pressured me into finding my career passion. Another friend pressures me to find a college I'm passionate about. Peer pressure is a double-edged sword. I definitely get the negative kind that we all know of too.
